the presentation day....

today, i had a very important task to do.... my first public presentation ever. i was nervous, very nervous actually, but i tried my very best to calm myself down. but a day before, i was busy with meetings. 7pm to 12 am. pressure, pressure. haha. discussed very thouroughly with dr. tan in the second meeting (10pm to 12am). Dr. Tan said i was losing weight. man, need to eat more. i'm spending so much for food. Dr. Tan said he has to restrain me from working too hard for red cross. but i'm not working that hard. its fine. well, i'm enjoying myself though. now, i realized that we shouldn't do anything coz we had to do but if we enjoy doing it, no matter how hard n hectic it would be, everything will be going smoothly.

coming back to my presentation day, after coming back from the meeting at about 12.15am, i started to practice my speech. My actual presentation is 15 mins and i was shocked to see that my speech was only 5 mins. had to do some modification. then i sat and did some modification till 2am even though felt so sleepy since i was going here n there earlier in the day. at last i finished my script, trained a couple of times and went to bed.

in the morning, i woke up at 7.30am. its hard to wake up so early on a saturday morning. haha. Reached there about 8.50am and the event starts at 9am. Well, when i entered the hall, i was asked to sit with some other presenters, including the big shots. man, pressure, pressure. N i realized that i'm the youngest presenter. pressure, pressure. haha. well, everyone was very friendly to me. The Vice Chairman of Singapore Red Cross is the Prof from Med Faculty of NUS. n i'm from nus too. pressure, pressure. haha. well, i was not nervous till my name was called. the moment i stood in front of about 100 people, my heart beat suddenly rushed to 100++. pressure, pressure. but in the midst of sweating in the air cond hall, i actually gave my best. din realize i gave a good presentation. My presentation was about the youth effort in organizing blood drives.

something even more pressurizing happened. After our presentation, we were asked to sit as the panel on the stage. pressure, pressure. had to answer a couple of question. during lunch, i was invited for another blood drives organized at the Singapore Swimming Club (rich pep club). Felt very honoured. man, being a significant figure in the society. felt that. haha.

Came back at about 4pm and walked under the rain. took a nap and then witnessed man u lost to liverpool. man u din play well. they din deserve to win. met some med undergrads. very nice guys. having fun till the end with them.... the next stop is the seminar on Monday..........
