Trip down to blood bank

today, i donated blood for the tenth time... something very meaningful. i have no idea how many lives i have saved so far but the satisfaction in knowing that i have saved lives and still am is more than enough for me.

At about 12pm, together with 7 other staffs, i went down to Blood Bank. the procedures are something very familiar for me but what surprised me was my own poster in the blood bank. my pic was taken for the diary of blood bank. i din know they also made it into a poster. quite cool. haha... :D

10times already and i'm still counting....

Beading....

Did you know that beading needs lots of patience and skills? Ya, i thought so! Well, teachers were having beading workshop on tuesday. There's another one later in the afternoon. We'll be selling the products on Pathlight Special Walk Day; as a fund raising programme for the school. Teachers in Chong Boon are gracious.

Exams...

The worst part of teaching: invigilating!!! it's so boring and tiring. walking around without aim.haha :D i wish someone will come up with this invention; all the students will be seated in their own cubical with any electronic device sensors. if everything cleared including their identity using computers, the question paper will be out with a table from the ground. After the paper, the table and the question paper will automatically go back from where it came from and the papers are sorted accordingly and delievered to the teachers. wow, we don't have to come to school. haha. that would be great!!

talking about exams, students nowadays are so demotivated. one students in my school slept even before the question paper was distributed. thats bad. i woke him up twice, and he went to sleep again. half an hour later, more of his friends followed him. is the a competition on who sleeps the most??? how to encourage those who r discouraged?? a hill to climb....

anyway, i must start marking....

Fight...

On Wed, after assembly, i was walking back to the staffroom with my colleague. Suddenly, i saw two boys throwing punches to each other. Two male teachers rushed to the scene and stopped the fight. The boys were kept apart while the teachers were interrogating the students.

well, it all started during the assembly. This boy (a very short tempered boy) claimed that his nemesis was staring at him. The other said he doesn't even know the boy. haha :D the fight started because of staring???? people eyes. who cares what he/she stares. and this morning, i realized that the nemesis is short-sighted. haha :D.maybe this was what happened. this short-sighted boy might have squeezed his eye to see what's going on in the direction of the short-tempered boy. and the short tempered boy might have thought that he was staring at him with vengeance in his eyes. haha :D.

The moral of the story is THINK. God gave all human beings brains. very fair; one for each. but the problem is not everyone is using it all the time. Should the short-tempered boy thought for a while, the whole drama would not have happened. If you are not satisfied about something, talk it out. that's much better than drawing the first blood. Gosh, man!!
