the presentation day....

today, i had a very important task to do.... my first public presentation ever. i was nervous, very nervous actually, but i tried my very best to calm myself down. but a day before, i was busy with meetings. 7pm to 12 am. pressure, pressure. haha. discussed very thouroughly with dr. tan in the second meeting (10pm to 12am). Dr. Tan said i was losing weight. man, need to eat more. i'm spending so much for food. Dr. Tan said he has to restrain me from working too hard for red cross. but i'm not working that hard. its fine. well, i'm enjoying myself though. now, i realized that we shouldn't do anything coz we had to do but if we enjoy doing it, no matter how hard n hectic it would be, everything will be going smoothly.

coming back to my presentation day, after coming back from the meeting at about 12.15am, i started to practice my speech. My actual presentation is 15 mins and i was shocked to see that my speech was only 5 mins. had to do some modification. then i sat and did some modification till 2am even though felt so sleepy since i was going here n there earlier in the day. at last i finished my script, trained a couple of times and went to bed.

in the morning, i woke up at 7.30am. its hard to wake up so early on a saturday morning. haha. Reached there about 8.50am and the event starts at 9am. Well, when i entered the hall, i was asked to sit with some other presenters, including the big shots. man, pressure, pressure. N i realized that i'm the youngest presenter. pressure, pressure. haha. well, everyone was very friendly to me. The Vice Chairman of Singapore Red Cross is the Prof from Med Faculty of NUS. n i'm from nus too. pressure, pressure. haha. well, i was not nervous till my name was called. the moment i stood in front of about 100 people, my heart beat suddenly rushed to 100++. pressure, pressure. but in the midst of sweating in the air cond hall, i actually gave my best. din realize i gave a good presentation. My presentation was about the youth effort in organizing blood drives.

something even more pressurizing happened. After our presentation, we were asked to sit as the panel on the stage. pressure, pressure. had to answer a couple of question. during lunch, i was invited for another blood drives organized at the Singapore Swimming Club (rich pep club). Felt very honoured. man, being a significant figure in the society. felt that. haha.

Came back at about 4pm and walked under the rain. took a nap and then witnessed man u lost to liverpool. man u din play well. they din deserve to win. met some med undergrads. very nice guys. having fun till the end with them.... the next stop is the seminar on Monday..........

One by one..... step by step...

My busy week continues....... this week, i have a lot to do and most of the thing if not everything is different from each other.... man, let me list them. Two CAs (tests), one quiz, two meetings, one presentation and uncle's stuffs this week. haiyo, there are only 7 days in a week. i think even 10 is not enough for me.... getting very tired....

i've finished my tests and quiz as well as one of my meetings. My presentation is on Sat at Fort Canning Lodge (no idea where it is; hope i wont get lost on the day) and my uncle's coming tomorrow. Actually, i'm now finishing one by one and its going on well... can't face everything at one time... it turned out to be a disaster last semester. Therefore, i learnt a lesson. Settle everything one by one, simply means one at any one time. cool. it works just fine for me now. hope it will go on.....

Happy belated valentine's day to all. My valentine's day was as usual. but felt very sad coz i've hurt one of my friends very deeply. sorry for her. I really din realize... sorry. well, i celebrated my valentines day with two other guys and none of us is gay. we studied together for the upcoming test. but, i did something.... nobody knows bout it. hahaha.... made my valentines day perfect. at least, i was happy n satisfied for the whole day except for the fren. sorry again.
what did i do? hahaha. i did something i wanted to do and i'm happy coz i did it. wow, i really did it. and at that time i had all the guts..........

have to get prepared for the presentation on Sat. go man, go..........

At last, Finally.....

More than a month ago, i was called to attend meeting at headquarters and given flexibility, attending it would be optional for me. Since i'm a good and reesponsible guy (people saying not me) , i attended the meeting. And in the meeting, i was given the heaviest job n responsibility to do. Never expected that. Well, after taking up the 'assignment', i started up by having my own sub committee members........

The event was Chinese New Year Celebration at Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD). In other words, we are organizing an event for the home just to let them know that they are not left out. Even though they cant mingle around like we do, but they always have a place deep in our hearts.

We were working very hard for the event since this event is above NUS level. since i'm the logs head, i have a headache. From the main road to the entrance, from the parking lots to the seats and from the stage to the rooms, all under me. Logistics head. but i would say i had a terrific team. fantastic. really appreciate their contribution. Thank you Amy, Kang Jia and Chen Ju. Without these three people, i would have been a roasted guy by now. haha. since everyone was in charge of something, i was taking care of the traffic.

My sub-com was consisted by Boon Eng, Dan, Aman and Mayank. another terrific people to work with. we had our work done and at the same time enjoyed ourselves. thanks a lot, guys. without u guys, i would have been roasted also. haha.

And now, we have impressed them. Almost all of them. thank god. everything went fine and now, i can sleep well. need to start studying for the coming exams, two of them in three days. man... but now, i'm happy. can give full concentration to my studies. to organize an event, even though it may look simple, needs a lot of courage and patience and discipline. Learnt a lesson today. hope to learn many soon........

Busy..... busy!!!!

well, i'm too busy right now. but actually, i'm taking my own time. dunno y. hope everything will be fine. no idea. i suppose to finish load of work by tonight, but still taking my own time. Maybe everyhing will go according to plan. If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail. what if something if not everything goes wrong. simple, i die..... have to work out on plan B. very important to have back-up plans.

last night, i was busy finding people for my own sub com as well as the members to attend Chinese New Year Celebration at Red Cross Home for Disabled. i'm in charge of the logistics, means almost everything except the food n performance. anything goes wrong, i'll get screamed. sigh.... it's next sat and from tues to thurs, we are having Blood Donation Drive here at MPSH 6, NUS. man, two major projects in one week. confirm die.... need more red bulls.

after almost done with my work, i started to chat with a fren. we talked bout lots of things. never knew that she's very very friendly. we talked for quite long. i was really having fun talking to her. we argued bout something, well, almost everything, she gave me some advice, encouraged me, etc. the best part was, even after one hour she said bye, she was still chatting with me. hahahaha. really cool. slept at about 3am. sunday, relaxing day but not for me. have to get some work done. my relaxing day would be............ lemme think....... JUNE. world cup month. then i'll be relaxing. hahaha......
