well, when i was in sec school, last week of December had always been the 'back to school' week where parents and students went out shopping for school uniforms and stuffs. kind of miss those days. Now, i'm back to school again. not as a student but as a teacher.
my first class was sec 2 class. i was just observing the class while my subject mentor was teaching in the class. this will carry on for another couple of weeks before i take over the classes. cool, huh. at last i've started my career path.
there were a lot of newly appointed teachers but according to the staffs here only a few will survive and i wanna be in that few. Teaching is my passion now and i wanna achieve my goals before leaving. nowadays, students are well aware of the surroundings. they are more aggresive in the sense that they wan explanation for all and will rebel if they are not satisfied with the explanation given. quite hard to manage these kinds of students. but then, if we look into it, they might be from problematic family which includes single parents. so we must understand them well before taking any actions. i wanna and will be the students best frens over here since i'm the youngest teacher around here. haha.
my first week of teaching has ended. nothing much. an eye opener for me about the students in singapore. friends in malaysia, trust me. no matter how naughty we were last time, we were angels. really. our teachers should appreciate us for being good students. some students here are really 'kuti syaitans'. (young devils). but then, everyone has the soft spot. hope i'll succeed in being their frens....

Dun be stupid dinesh. The number 1 rule of teaching teenagers : Don Not be their friends! If u do they will take u for granted n get on top of ur head. Try being firm, but understanding. You should look yourself as a mentor to the students, rather then friends.
