Speech Day

The year's biggest event, Speech Day, was a successful... cool... everything went fine. thank god. now i can concentrate more on my classes... job well done. and my stage crew members, thanks a million. mission accomplished!!! c ya!!!

Sports Fiesta!!!

last Friday was awesome... it was our Sports Day!!!! it was held at serangoon stadium. the first event, football final between yellow and blue, was a bit delayed as the weather was not promising. but then at about 9am, we kicked off though it was drizzling. blue house lost. though they lost a man and was down 3-0 at one time, they fought back to 3-2. good fighting spirit but yellow house was a better team. congrats to them.

captain's ball, it was green house who won. against the odds. congrats to them as well.

then we had our races. 4X100 and 4X400 relay. to be honest, the girls especially did not run up to my expectation. some of them were really slow; made me wonder how did they get on the track in the first place. nevertheless, the sportsmanship was there. everyone fought all the way. Sam was on his own class. So was Beverly. they were good. and i feel its not fair for other houses that Yvonne, Weetheng and Lihui (all good runners) are in the same house (Red House). no wonder red house won the track and field event. Haha!!! Red house won 5 out of 8 events.

The final event was the teachers students relay. 4X800m. haha. i din expect Mr. Yeo, Mr. Koh, Mr Loh and Mr. Wong to run so fast. they were really fast. i was the last runner for the blue house. i ran as fast as i could but only managed to come in second. silver is not that bad.
overall, it was a good day. went back and slept a while to refresh myself before going back to my chores.

a small gathering...

i met with my NUS friends yesterday. a small gathering after so long. we took our dinner at cafe cartel in Plaza Singapore and went to watch Street Kings. though i was tired in the end walking here and there with two girls in a shopping mall, but it was fun to catch up with them. here are the pics...

Frustrating moments...

1. bus passengers who don't move to the rear....

2. waiting for the inefficient bus....

3. traffic jams......

4. unfriendly bus driver......

5. people crowding at the MRT train doors....

well, these are only some of the frustrating moments we might face maybe each every day. but when u face all these in one day, one trip, u'll be very very annoyed. ganja!!!

and this morning, i came to know that a bus met an accident in Seremban (Malaysia); killed one and injured 31. accidents do happen, but this bus had 52 summons and most for over-speeding. but this bus was on the road. y??? any idea? what is the police doing??? now, i guess the authority will check the buses. they will! but everything will be back to normal after two weeks till something like this happens again. sigh......

Speech Day rehearsal....

well, today was my first day of Speech Day rehearsal. so there were some hiccups here and there. though i have experience in managing back stage, first rehearsal is always the platform for me to learn and adapt myself.

i could not find any students helpers till the last minute. at last, Yan Qin, Sabina and co. came up to offer help. so nice of them. i really appreciate that. oh, ya. no budget for ur pants. let's see how. must be black. ALL BLACK!!! guess what. my back stage crew consists of only girls. i dunno what others will say but they are the ones who came up to volunteer. girls' power, i guess. i have managed back stage with all guys last time and now its time for me to manage all girls. haha :D
