Malaysia.....

well, what's wrong with Malaysia.. the other day, a driver with two 'waran tangkap' killed 19 others by driving the bus into the cliff. then his long lost friend who had lots of 'saman' killed some others. and just a few days earlier, an eight-year old girl was brutally murdered by a sex-maniac pedophile. these are just tip of the iceberg. everyday, a lot of innocents in Malaysia are killed. y are these people like to kill others????

who are supposed to look into these cases??? the first two cases, JPJ. only after that incident, JPJ started to check the buses and the drivers. What were they doing before the incident???? drinking 'kopi'???? if they had checked everything before the incident, at least 20 lives could have been saved. and u know what, after few more weeks, they'll become dormant...... it goes in a cycle. it needs another terrible accident that costs 25 lives to make them active again. y cant they be consistently active? maybe those are 'nasi lemak' and 'kopi' side effects!!!

the police are the ones who are the busiest in Malaysia. coz i dun think they have time to rest. they have to catch the 'not so good' people everyday. and there are many 'not so good' people still walking freely along the streets in Malaysia. the more police we have, the more 'bad' things happen. i thought they shud be inversely propotional.

Rape cases everywhere??? no one can put a stop to it. y??? i wish there's a rule which states that those who rape others will get their 'private part' chopped off. then there will be no such cases where the grandfather rapes the grand daughter, step-father rapes his step-daughter,etc.

i hope to see a new Malaysia with officers being responsible enough. and everyone has the rights to live peacefully and safely. lets see how long it takes, if it ever will.

Ways to boost up morale....

today, i was invigilating sec 4 (Normal Tech) for the humans/social studies N level prelim paper. There were 14 students taking the paper (2 were absent). The class was noisy as usual till the question papers were distributed. Then everyone settled down.

I was shocked when i saw almost half of the class put their papers under the table and dozed off. they just wrote their names and gonna submit the blank paper. i tried my best advicing them to at least give a try on the paper. Most of them attempted but a couple of students dozed off again saying that they don't understand what was going on.

But i feel this students are discouraged in some ways. Maybe they don't have confidence in themselves. The students who i asked to at least give a try did write something for all the questions. So, they are not unable to do the paper. just that their morale is very low and they have this mentality that nothing is gonna change even if they score well. they gave up easily without trying. this is definitely a wrong way of thinking. but then, nothing could be done. teachers must motivate them and have some confidence in them. they are not stupid at all. but they don't have to confidence. quite sad. teachers responsibilities are more than just teaching....

Kids nowadays....

dramas and traumas all over the school... hahaha.... well lemme give u a couple of examples on how kids are behaving in Singapore nowadays....

First example: The teacher asked the class to do work and this girl wasn't bothered to even look at her book. The teacher approached her and asked, "Why are you not doing my work?"

The girl answered in a rude manner, "Why must I do? I don't like it so I will not do it! Just because you are a teacher, doesn't mean that i'm your pet and have to follow everything that u say."

Second example: The lesson has just ended and the teacher was signing off the register book. He saw the whole class started to be noisy and many of them walking. So the teacher looked up and asked everyone to go back to their seats. One of the students answered back, "Your period is over now. Why should we listen to you?"

well, these scenarios are just the tip of the iceberg. these kinds of problems are still occurring in my school now. There are good and well-behaved students around. In fact teachers are coming to school everyday for them. but kids with discipline problems just keep discouraging the teachers. However, teachers are not weak. We will face them no matter what happens.... after all, its our responsibility to develop the students character!!!

Back to School....

well, when i was in sec school, last week of December had always been the 'back to school' week where parents and students went out shopping for school uniforms and stuffs. kind of miss those days. Now, i'm back to school again. not as a student but as a teacher.

my first class was sec 2 class. i was just observing the class while my subject mentor was teaching in the class. this will carry on for another couple of weeks before i take over the classes. cool, huh. at last i've started my career path.

there were a lot of newly appointed teachers but according to the staffs here only a few will survive and i wanna be in that few. Teaching is my passion now and i wanna achieve my goals before leaving. nowadays, students are well aware of the surroundings. they are more aggresive in the sense that they wan explanation for all and will rebel if they are not satisfied with the explanation given. quite hard to manage these kinds of students. but then, if we look into it, they might be from problematic family which includes single parents. so we must understand them well before taking any actions. i wanna and will be the students best frens over here since i'm the youngest teacher around here. haha.

my first week of teaching has ended. nothing much. an eye opener for me about the students in singapore. friends in malaysia, trust me. no matter how naughty we were last time, we were angels. really. our teachers should appreciate us for being good students. some students here are really 'kuti syaitans'. (young devils). but then, everyone has the soft spot. hope i'll succeed in being their frens....

Fuyoh!!!

AT last, finally, i'm blogging again. ganja, it was a long break. simply because i din go online for God knows how long. so i din have the opportunity to blog.

Well, within this period a lot of things have happened. I found the love of my life; this would be the most important event that has happened in my life after so so many many years. Finally, it's happening to me. cool. haha. i'm loving it.

'Transformers' is a must watch movie. If u have not watched it, book the tickets now!!! trust me, u'll love it. It's better to watch it in the cinema. Do not buy pirated DVDs coz the sound system might screw up the mood to watch the movie. Highly recommended. I have never paid to watch the same movie twice in the cinema but i think 'Transformers' will be the first movie i'm going to do so.

oh ya, i have graduated from NUS. BSc degree with concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology. wanna pursue my studies to a higher level but still thinking when to start since i'm gonna start teaching in one of the sec schools in Singapore on the 23 July. still counting the days.

Anymore updates bout me?? well, i'm still in RCHN NUS Chapter. Red Cross in short. gonna be here for quite sometime. maybe i have taken a long break till i dunno what else to write. haha.

A piece of advice: Do not delay. start doing what u can do today and not tomorrow. Then, u'll achieve success today and not tomorrow.

'sigh'ntific description about me!

well, liz challenged me to write about me scientifically. so here i am describing myself in science and maybe stats. those who wanna learn science, dun follow whatever i say. u might hate science for the rest of ur lives. those who wanna learn stats, believe only ur books. haha.

like all other living things, i'm made up of C, H and O. Crazy, Hyper and Old (i'm a dinosaur). brain and heart are the most important organs to all higher organisms, but i have neither. i dun have the grey matter coz i miss placed it when i was young. and couldn't find it till now. my heart is now not with me coz it's with a girl back in Malaysia.

now, lets go to my attitude. quiet, shy, normal, sane, logical, rational, scientific, mathematical, - these words have one thing in common. none describes me!!! damaged insulators (my skin) caused electrical shock, so i dun look like David Beckham anymore. people, not me, say i look more like Tom Cruise now. i'm an organism which can survive on Milo alone but cannot survive even though i have everything but Milo (maybe i'll change my mind when i have everything). i dun like to watch moss porn like Birdie; i like real actions (if u understand what i mean). its biology!!! my chromosomes like to go to temples and libraries more than shopping malls and pubs.

well, if u wanna know more bout me, u shud be reading a paper on me written by Spielbeg. ET. Liz, i can't think of anything anymore dy... u know y?? i told u i misplaced my brain. so cannot think. hehe....

this semester......

well, tomorrow is the last day of my uni life. i have a class from 6pm to 8pm and that would literally be the last class for me before i graduate. cool, rite. time flies. just feel like applying for nus and here am i now, graduating soon. time really flies. in between this period, a lot of things have happened. but i dun think i'll be missing nus. maybe i'll miss my frens over here but not nus.

i thot of enjoying this semester to the fullest since its my last sem. so i took 6 modules to learn something. took a business module. and i was so brave to bid for a third year module and i got it for a point. it was all well till i got my assignments. ganja. i have to start from scratch while others have already had some backgrounds in the field. have to put in extra effort and there goes my time for my core modules. haha. playing time also la. in fact, this semesters modules are all very heavy. hard to understand, a lot of projects and assignments as well as tutorials. sigh....

but then, to be honest, i really enjoyed this semester. frens became closer to me. managed my time quite well. went out for valentines. hahaha. called Liz on valentines and freaked her out. thanks to Jo for that. haha. sorry, Liz. went to Sentosa when i was in the midst of exams and projects due date. watched TMNT a day before my exams. haha. quite crazy.

after all, its my last sem. no regrets. and later, i'll on my way back to school. not as a student, but as a teacher. haha. hated bio all my life but ending up teaching bio. haha. most probably bio. do not hate anyone or anything. coz u might end up with them. haha.
